I know people paying £90 plus for security and I don't understand why, this does all I need and more. I have used mcafee for a few years now and it has never disappointed, I have only ever had 1 installation issue (probably my fault anyway) and the technical team took over and sorted it straight away. I won't recommend to F&F, and can't recommend here. Another annoyance is that I start getting renewal prompts four months from end of year, way too early, I appreciate part of this is due to the cookies installed linked to the original trial version pre installed on my computer, but can't get rid of them and to be warned my computer is at risk for four out of twelve months is too much, it's like someone putting their Xmas decorations up in September, way too early. Spending two hours of my time trying to simply renew is taking the proverbial.
Fourth worked, got email confirmation, but still waiting for my existing version to show updated licence.I was brand loyal to a competitor prior, with them for six years without issue, easy renewal, and will be going back to them next year. Tried third link, again issue with activation code. Followed instructions on first two, entered activation code, told there was an 'issue', told to telephone support number, different from hard copy one, put on hold for fifteen minutes and gave up. Followed instructions, strange thing is half a dozen apparently genuine 'activation' pages pop up. Twelve months on made mistake of buying again.
